The Pangong Tso lake is a situated between Easter Ladakh and Western Tibet in Asia. The lake 134 km long and situated on a height of 4,225m (13,863 ft) and it has 5 sub lakes, which are connected through narrow water channels.
50% area of the Pangong Tso lake occupied in China and 40% is in Ladakh in India. So this is the reason China and India conflicts occurred between two countries.

How to go to see Pangong Lake
As Pangong lake is settled at a border zone of India and China, Indians need to take Inner Line Permit which can be issued online as well as offline from Tourist Information Center at Leh Market. Foreigners need to take Protected Area Permit which is also available online.

Best time to visit
The best time for visit Pongong is May to September but you can visit in winter months.
If you visit during may and September you will enjoy the tempreture nither hot nor freezing cold. In winter their is lot of cold temperature and water you see all water freezes.
